Safe medications to use in pregnancy

Do not use a medication until you clear it with your obstetrician unless it is prescribed by them. There are some over the counter (OTC) medications that are considered safe for common discomforts of pregnancy when taken as directed. All medications listed are available at your local drug store without a prescription.  Generic brands are fine if available.
